The history of Portugal goes back many centuries. The country has a rich and original culture, having been open to many influences over time. In spite of being very varied in geographical terms, Portugal is a nation with a very strongly developed sense of national identity.

In the 15th century, Portugal’s ships set off on their voyages of maritime discovery, taking Europe to the farthest corners of the world. Affected by many influences and integrating diverse cultures and habits, Portugal, one of the oldest European states, which has retained the same borders since the 13th century, has kept its own very special character over the centuries.

The Portuguese people have a strong tradition of making visitors feel welcome. The country is also renowned for its vast gastronomy and for having one of the most pleasant climates in the world.

The Congress will take place in Estoril Congress Centre, which is not far from the historic heart of Lisbon and directly overlooks the broad estuary of the river Tagus and the Atlantic.

Welcome to the very first world congress of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Cascais, Portugal.
